WHEN THE 2010 EARTHQUAKE TOOK PLACE IN HAITI, I CONTACTED THE DEAN JOEL TOWERS OF PARSONS TO HELP SUPPORT MY NON-PROFIT (of which im co-founder) called THE JUSTBECAUSE.

CONCEPT: AID IN THE DEFORESTATION CRISIS IN HAITI, WHERE THERE ARE LESS THAN 1% OF FORESTS THAT REMAIN AND TO CHANGE THE GIVING EXPERIENCE.

ABOVE ARE PHOTOS OF AN EVENT THAT TOOK PLACE ONLY A FEW DAYS AFTER THE CRISIS. WE RAISED $1000 IN LESS THAN THREE HOURS BY ENCOURAGING DONATIONS AND PROVIDING 'HAITI JE'TAIME" SHIRTS. OUR FOCUS WAS THAT EVERY GIVER SHOULD BE IDENTIFIED. WE BELIEVED THAT IF GIVERS KNEW WHAT THEY'RE DONATIONS WERE DOING AND WE TRANSFORMED WHAT IT MEANT TO BE A GIVER AND THE GIVER EXPERIENCE, THAT WE'D RECEIVE BETTER RESULTS AND HAPPIER GIVERS. THIS IS JUST ONE OF THE RESULTS.
